Peter Firth is attending a fundraiser in Humberston next week. It’s being organised by his cousin, Josephine Dixon, who is doing so to share her appreciation and say ‘thank you’ to the Macmillan nurses who have cared for her so well.
It’s always lovely to hear something more personal and ‘meaningful’ of our favourite actors, especially from one so private and reluctant to join the ‘celeb’ bandwagon such as Peter. Reading the article about the event in This is Grimsby, it’s easy to see why Peter would feel proud to make such a rare appearance and support his family in this way.
You can find out more about Josephine’s struggle with cancer, the event, and how to attend, here http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/Harry-charity-night-TV-actor/story-18889753-detail/story.html#axzz2SJkTPh3I
It goes without saying really, but this is obviously a special charity event and not a fan convention, and I’m sure you, his fans, will show the correct level of reserve and respect for such an occasion.
We at Peter Firth Fans wish you well, Josephine – keep staying strong.
